Nothing Phone (1) Android 13 Update Release Date Is Here – NothingOS 2.0?

Google has already released the stable build of the Android 13 update for eligible pixel smartphones and is already available in beta on devices from Samsung, OnePlus, and other manufacturers. Nothing Phone (1) is also eligible to receive NothingOS-based Android 13, but not short.

Nothing Phone (1) is a mid-to-high-end Android smartphone unveiled on July 12, 2022. The device was unveiled after several weeks of rumors and anticipations that aroused great curiosity and is the first smartphone of the startup co-founded by Carl Pei, formerly of OnePlus.

Nothing Phone (1) Android 13 Update Release Date

After receiving its first software updates, which arrived relatively quickly from the official market debut of the device, users with Nothing Phone (1) begin to wonder when Android 13 will arrive.

The issue gained particular interest because Carl Pei, the current No. 1 issue responded to one of these users. Asked about the timing of updating Nothing Phone (1) to Android 13 Pei replies that “a smartphone is much more than its software specifications, features, and version numbers.”

The device stands out for its particular design, however it is not a premium device, starting with the software component, as the company promises three years of major Android updates and four years of bimonthly security updates, a lower perspective than what Google and Samsung offer.

Today the company revealed that the Android 13 update for Nothing Phone (1) won’t arrive until the first half of 2023. According to Nothing, the company prefers to release Android 13 when it has been properly optimized for Nothing Phone (1), however these timings appear a bit too long considering that the device runs a very similar Android version to the standard one.
