The Truth Behind The OnePlus 10T’s Durability Test

Recently, a popular YouTuber Zack Nelson broke the OnePlus 10T and did the durability tests at the most extreme level that he could do, up to his own end, on his famous youtube channel JerryRigEverythingand he found it that when he applied some external force for the middle of the screen, OnePlus 10T got broken from the middle of the screen from the rear camera side, coincidentally, it got broken at the same point, where the OnePlus 10 Pro, last time broken in jerryrigeverything’s durability test.

And by this, he stated that this smartphone was a big failure because it had not beared the external pressure I had given with my hands. It suddenly broke from the rear camera side from the middle of the screen.

For information, the OnePlus 10T is recently launched as the company’s flagship. It has many top-end specifications, like Fluid AMOLED 120Hz refresh rate display, Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1, 4800 mAh Battery back-up with Fast charging 150W and more.

And after this, OnePlus developers have taken this as a serious issue and responded to Youtuber Zack Nelson of Jerryrigeverything youtube channel. By sending a statement to the famous website, Gadget 360 stated that The OnePlus 10T meets or exceeds all of OnePlus’ extensive durability testing procedures, this includes a pressure test where the device is suspended while weight is applied to its centre on both its front and back. The OnePlus 10T has an enhanced structure engineering design and can bear over 45kg of external force in this test at OnePlus’ lab”.

It also added, “When designing, engineering, and manufacturing OnePlus devices, we ensure they not only offer a design that is beautiful and burdenless but is also durable so they can withstand everyday usage“.

In other words, OnePlus said that the OnePlus 10T has passed all the needed tests related to its durability and different difficulties. It can bear up to 45 kg of external force, sufficient for the user to use the device in daily life.

Our Opinion:

The tests done by the Youtuber Zack Nelson are at extreme levels that maximum smartphones can also not bear the same type of cutting and breaking this type of tools at this level of external pressures. Smartphones are made by companies of their best quality that can bear the daily life condition and shocks, drops, wetness, heat, and more. If this test level were done on any company’s smartphones, it would have faced the same thing.
