Xiaomi End Of Support (EOS) Device [List]: January 2023

We are officially in the New Year 2023 and with this Xiaomi has introduced its new smartphone Redmi Note 12 series in the tech market and hopefully it will come with MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.

Plus, MIUI Developers have also started rolling out the MIUI 14 based on Android 13 for some flagship smartphones like the Xiaomi 12 series, Redmi K series and at the same time, it has released a list of devices of MI, Redmi and more. To end all types of software support to its, some of the smartphones got outdated.

Nowadays, updating the software to the latest version has become very much necessary because it brings new system features and fixes bugs. For information, for making their users, usually, Company provide 1,2 or 3 major security updates to its smartphone, and as per the policy, every smartphone series or segment has a different updating policy. Entry-level smartphones have the lowest number of update policies; on the other hand, flagship smartphones have thee the highest number of year updating policies.

Xiaomi also do the same, it also provides three years of a major update and four years of security patch update to its flagship devices, and for the rest, this number will decrease according to model and segments. 

With this, now some smartphones have become outdated, and users should need to upgrade for the latest update. To notify those users, Xiaomi released a device list, which it has mentioned the name of devices that will not receive any type of future update.
