How To Customize OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 Always-On Display (Guide)

In August 2022, OnePlus launched its flagship OnePlus 10T 5G smartphone in India with several outstanding features. At the event, the Chinese tech giant also announced its Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 operating system. Recently, the company has rolled out the OxygenOS 13 Open beta two based on Android 13 for the OnePlus 10 Pro. 

OxygenOS 13 brings a lot of new features, visually refreshed, bold design, intuitive elements, and more customization options. But, in this article, we are talking about the OxygenOS 12.1 improved features and customization features; one of them is Always-On Display.

OxygenOS 12.1 Always-On Display:

The OnePlus AOD function is the unique feature that comes with OxygenOS, which improved with the OxygenOS 12.1 software update. Note: This feature will be turned off when the battery is less than 10% and is not being charged.

Customize Always-On Display:

The OxygenOS 12.1 Always-On Display feature brought several new features to customize the AOD display according to your need and interest. AOD comes with the following features:

  • Canvas: This allows you to add canvas photos with more creativity to the AOD display with multiple tools, including line color and style; even you can erase the outline and even adjust your photo on your AOD display.
  • Bitmoji: It lets you add Bitmoji on your AOD display, which allows us to share our emotions, expressions as well as facial expressions by creating your avatar in the Bitmoji app to use the Bitmoji clock.

Other AOD Features:

With the customization option, you can add various digital clocks, analog clocks, and text clocks, and you can add schedules according to time, and you allow all day and more options.

How To Customize OxygenOS Always-On Display:

  • Go to Settings on your device
  • Find and tap on Personalizations
  • From here, tap on Always-On Display 
  • Turn on Always-On Display Toggle
  • Here, you see multiple options to customize AOD;
    • Display option:
      • Power saving: The AOD feature will not be down if the phone has been stationary for a while.
      • Schedule: Select turn on/off time; From and To
      • All day
    • Choose Featured
      • Canvas
      • Bitmoji
      • Insight
    • Text clock
    • Analog clock
    • Digital clock
