OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1: How To Download

About two months after the introduction of the OxygenOS 13 Closed Beta for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, which is based on Android 13, the Chinese firm announced the debut of the Open Beta for both smartphones, which is undoubtedly more stable than the closed beta and installable by anybody.

OnePlus officially announced the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 Open beta program for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. And It available to download with ROM package.

We would like to remind you that OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1 will be available, for the time being, only in India and North America, but European users will be able to install the software in a few weeks at the latest. In all cases, before proceeding with the installation, it is good to remember that you must have OxygenOS 12 installed at version C.63, a battery level above 30% (better if the smartphone remains charging), and at least 4 GB of free memory.

Known Issues

  • Carrier version devices (VZW) aren’t compatible with the Open beta builds.
  • After the flashlight is activated, the notification of the flashlight switch will not be shown on the lock screen.
  • Incoming call notifications will not be displayed when an iPhone is calling.

Installation

OxygenOS 13 Open Beta 1 is not yet available in Europe, so installation instructions are not yet available. while on this page of the OnePlus forum there are installation instructions for North America and India.

Download OxygenOS 13 Open Beta for OnePlus 9 & 9 Pro

Note: In order to upgrade to this build successfully, be sure that your device is in the latest OxygenOS 12 version (C.63).

  1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
  2. Copy the Upgrade package to the phone storage.
  3. Install this apk.  You’ll need it to update. Then, open the app -> tap the top-right gear icon -> find the upgrade package and tap it -> wait to finish the installation -> tap reboot
  4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
  5. Update successful.

Rollback Package & Method

For Indian Users

  1. Download the latest ROM rollback zip package from the specified server.
  2. Copy the rollback package to the phone storage.
  3. Go to Settings -> About device -> Version -> Click Build number 7 times and enter the password, now you are in the developer mode.
  4. Go back Settings -> About device -> Up to date -> Click the top right button -> Local install -> Click on the corresponding rollback package -> Extract -> Upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
  5. After the rollback is complete, click Restart.
  6. Rollback successful.

For North American Users

  1. Download the latest ROM rollback zip package from the specified server.
  2. Copy the Rollback package to the phone storage.
  3. Install this apk.  You’ll need it to roll back. Then, open the app -> tap the top-right gear icon -> find the rollback package and tap it -> wait to finish the installation -> tap reboot
  4. After the rollback is complete, click Restart.
  5. Rollback successful.
