iQOO is currently busy with the release of the initial stable Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 software update for its flagship smartphone users in India. During this, the Chinese tech giant has started rolling out the latest October 2022 Android security update for its mid-range smartphones, the iQOO Z5 and the iQOO Z3, in the country. 

The October 2022 update for iQOO Z3 smartphone users comes with Funtouch OS build number PD2073F_EX_A_6.72.27 with Home screen improvements, and users will have to download this latest update approx 178 MB of package size. On the other hand, the iQOO Z5 users can identify this latest update via a firmware number PD2148BF_EX_A_36.12.17 and package size 136 MB. According to the changelog, this update comes with improvements in the System’s security and reliability to provide a seamless performance. In addition, it fixes the occasional bugs where the input method window shakes or flickers in some scenarios.

For iQOO Z3, the security patch solves the problem of the Starus bar that occasionally disappears from the Home screen in some situations.
