OnePlus 9R & 8T Getting October 2022 Security Update

After the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 update, OnePlus has finally started rolling out the latest monthly security patch for flagship smartphone users in India. Recently, the company released the October 2022 Android security update for OnePlus 10 ProOnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10R users, and now the company expanded this update to OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T smartphone users in India. According to the changelog, this update primarily works to improve the system’s security and stability and saves your device from unwanted threats and viruses and further improves the device’s performance. On the other hand, this update comes with support for 5G connectivity for three carriers, including Jio 5G network, Airtel 5G network, and VI (idea) 5G network. 

Moreover, this update also fixes some general bugs and issues alongside the problem of the stutter issue that affects video recording in some situations. Suppose you want to manually check for the October 2022 OTA update on your device through the device’s settings. From here, scroll down and tap System, click System Update, then tap Check for Updates; If an update is available, click Download and Install now.
