5 Best Features Of One UI 5 That You Need To Know About

Samsung Electronics has launched the stable One UI 5 for the Galaxy S22 range based on Android 13. After the launch, we got to know everything regarding the User Interface, as It has a plate full of features to explore. It is stated that it will provide a more personalized experience with features like lock screen customization. Let’s take a look at the 5 best key features of it.

Multi User Support

Samsung has provided Multi-User Support in this UI. Previously, the feature was removed from the 4th beta update of the same. Now in the stable version, the company made this available for users. The feature lets us set up individual accounts for various users.

Lock Screen Customization

The UI can customize the lock screen exactly as the user wants. It provides many different wallpaper types and clock widget designs, this also lets the user add contact information on the screen, and we will be able to create shortcuts for the apps too. Except for these, we can also choose custom fonts for the digital clock widgets.

Custom Call Background

If the user wants to set different call backgrounds for individual apps, this UI will let the user do that. Now users can select an image for each contact and use it as its call background.

Multi-tasking Gesture

With One UI 5, multi-tasking became easier and improved in Galaxy devices. In this feature, you will get two gestures- Swipe for pop-up view and Swipe for split screen. The first gesture allows you to open an app in windowed mode and the second gesture is to trigger split screen mode with a two-finger swipe-up action quickly.

Text Extraction

The One UI 5 also has a seamless text extraction ability. With this feature, when you open the gallery app, and an image with text appears, a ‘T’ icon will appear on the screen. By pressing the icon, the whole text will highlight what the OS can read. After that, one can select the needy text, copy it, and paste it anywhere they want.
