Google Hangouts App Discontinued Switch To Google Chat

In August 2014, Google launched its official Hangouts application for messaging contacts, starting with free video and voice calls. You can also have a conversation with one person or a group. Moreover, calls to Hangouts users are free, and other calls might be charged according to the mobile carrier.

Recently, Google officially announced the Hangouts app had been discontinued from November 1, 2022, the web. Now, users will not contact their friends and family with Google Hangout. Plus, your Hangouts app conversation and history will continue to be available until January 1, 2023. 

Now, users will be restricted to chatting on the web, and you can continue to use Google Takeout to download your data from the web. Additionally, Google Hangouts is upgraded to Google Chat, and you can upgrade your chat in Gmail or the Chat application. Please download and save your data on the Chat app before January 1, 2023. Google Hangouts App:

Google Hangouts app allows users to include up to 150 people in the group chats, and you can share messages, photos, videos, maps, emojis, stickers, and animated GIFs. With this app, you can have a conversation with a group video call with up to 10 contacts, and you can call any number in the world.

With Google Hangouts, you can connect to your contacts on Android, iOS, and the web, sync chats across all your devices, and send messages with your contacts, even when they’re offline.
