Samsung Introducing New Camera & Messages Features To Galaxy S10 Series With October 2022 Update

A few days ago, Samsung officially published the roadmap for a stable Android 13based One UI 5.0 update for its eligible Galaxy device. This confirms that the Galaxy S10 series will not receive the Android 13 update. In the meantime, the company has not stopped sending the latest features to the users. 

In a recent development, Samsung has started bringing new features to the stock Camera and Messages app for the Galaxy S10 series by implementing a new software update. Along with the new features, the update also has an October 2022 Android security patch for better device security.

Furthermore, the October 2022 update for Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e comes with the One UI build number G973NKSU7HVJ5, G977NKSU6HVJ5, G975NKSU7HVJ5, G970NKSU7HVJ5, respectively. Currently, the update is released in South Korea, and more regions will be reached soon in the coming days and weeks.

Going by the changelog, this update has brought some new messaging function that allows users to send and receive multiple images, and you can view them at once. Plus, you can register a message as a notice in a group chat.

In addition, the update also adds some camera features, such as the ability to show QR code recognition and document results in the Camera app photo mode at the same time. Also, this update improves the Area Guide Size and Recognition Speed when scanning a QR code from the Quick Panel.

At last, the update also applied the security-related stabilization code and improved the system’s security and stability in order to deliver a seamless performance. It fixes some security and privacy-related bugs and issues. For more info, check the full changelog below.
