Beginning of the month, Google officially announced the Hangouts app had been discontinued from November 1, 2022, on the web, and you can download and save your conversation and history before January 1, 2022. Meanwhile, the company has started rolling out a new software update for YouTube App that comes with some interesting features and improvements.
With this update, Google has offered the YouTube Home screen widgets. With this widget, you can search and browse YouTube Quick actions, including Home, Shorts, and Subscriptions. The new widgets come with two different styles, which include Quick Actions and Search.
- Quick Actions: This widget comes with a 3×2 grid, and it is the fastest way to search and browse YouTube.
- Search: It comes with a 4×1 grid, and it is the fastest way to search YouTube.
Furthermore, both widgets adopt the Android “Material You” design, and you can take advantage of dynamic UI colour and personalize your home screen according to the theme wallpaper. Plus, it comes with some Video player features.
