Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Galaxy A02s smartphone users in India and Brazil; respectively, more regions are expected to release soon in the coming days. During the October 2022 update, the company also released the September 2022 security patch to its mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy M33 5G, in Brazil.
The October 2022 Update for Android 12-based One UI 4.0 and Galaxy A02s comes with One UI build number P610XXS2EVJZ and A025MUBS5CVJ1, respectively, while Galaxy M33 users can determine the September 2022 update via the firmware version A336MUBU4AVJ1. These smartphones are currently running on the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 operating system.
As per the changelog, this latest update aims to improve the stability of the system to provide smooth performance by reducing common system problems like crashing, lagging, freezing, and others. In addition, it fixes some security and privacy-related bugs and issues that affect the user experience.
Moreover, this update enhances the system security to provide a secure user interface in order to maintain the user’s experience. Along with these minor improvements, this update addresses 50 threats and vulnerabilities related to users’ privacy that are fixed after installing this update. These fixes include 18 of Samsung’s CVEs affecting various device components, apps, and services and 32 Google Android OS issues.
