At the end of July 2022, Xiaomi started testing the Android 13-based MIUI update for the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Redmi K50G devices to experience it first. After successful testing of the update, the Chinese firm Xiaomi has started rolling out the major Android 13-based MIUI update to the Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone users in China.
According to the information, the company has released the major update for Xiaomi 12 Pro on the Mi Pilot release channel. It means only a limited number of Xiaomi 12 Pro consumers are currently able to upgrade to this major software upgrade in the home market. The update comes with several new features and improvements alongside the October 2022 security patch for better device security.
Furthermore, this Android 13 update for Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with MIUI build number V220.127.116.11.TLBCNXM and users will have to download this latest update with around 5.4GB of package size. Currently, the update is rolling out in China and will take several days or weeks to reach other regions.
According to the information, the Android 13-based MIUI update introduced several new features over the Android 12, including “Gallery app On this day”, Bluetooth LE Audio, improved Anti-fraud protection, and more. Moreover, it also improves system stability and reliability to maintain the user’s experience.
