YouTube Music lets people drive into a musical world, offering more than 100 million official songs and thousands of curated playlists across many genres and activities. It is getting the latest update with enhancements in the Activity bar. Earlier in 2020, it announced an Activity bar with mood filters; so far, the filters have been limited, but now, with the latest update, more filters are joining the list.

What’s Improving With New Update

YouTube Music is rolling out its latest update, by which it is adding five new mood filters in the activity bar, which will surely help the users enhance their experience. Now, the users will get more filters according to their mood swings. They will get more ease in filtering the songs even more quickly.

Five New YouTube Music Mood Filters

  • Cry
  • Party
  • Romance
  • Feel good
  • Sleep

Currently, the mood filters are available on YouTube Music are mentioned below

  • Energise
  • Relax
  • Workout
  • Commute
  • Focus

Apart from this, the other one is Podcasts. When users select these options, they appear all Mixed for you, Listen again, From your Library, and Similar to [artist] carousels.

With this latest addition, the “Cry” filter would offer a playlist of all sad songs. So the users will their sad mood swing, select the Cry filter, and quickly, with more ease, get the list of sad songs. However, back in 2021, the company added the Energize option, with mood filters coming to the web app earlier this year. This brings the top carousel to eleven chips, which might be pushing the YouTube Music UI.

For now, the additions of these five new filters have only started appearing on mobile applications and web clients, but sadly, they have not been widely rolled out yet.
