A couple of days ago, OPPO officially announced a new update policy for flagship phones starting in 2023. On the other hand, the Chinese tech giant has announced the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 official version for the OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G, Reno6 Z 5G, and Reno5 Pro 5G/4G smartphone users after a short period of open beta testing.
According to the OPPO Global community report, the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 official version is now available for OPPO Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G owners in India, while Reno6 Z 5G and Reno5 Pro 4G users are in Thailand and Pakistan, respectively. More areas are expected to roll out soon in the coming days. Users can now enrol on the stable ColorOS 13 build on their devices.
Users who own these devices can identify the update by checking its build number ending F.08 and F.40 for OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G, Reno6 Z 5G, and Reno5 Pro 5G/4G, respectively. Furthermore, the application notice for ColorOS 13 for the above devices is open from today (23rd December 2022), and the update may be accepted in batches as per the availability.
How To Apply:
If you want to experience the official version, please submit your application. First of all, upgrade to the following ColorOS 12 base version before registering for the ColorOS 13 official version for the above-mentioned devices.
- OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G: C.16
- OPPO Reno6 Z 5G: C.25/C.26
- OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G: C.28/C.29
- OPPO Reno5 Pro: C.28/C.29
To apply for ColorOS 13/Android 13:
- Navigation to the Device’s Settings
- Scroll down and click on About Device
- Tap on Official Version,
- Then click on the Settings icon on the top right
- Click on Trial Version
- From here, click on Try Official and Fill in the information
- Tap on Apply.
- After applying, click on Check for Updates. If available, hit on the Download tab.
