OnePlus released the December 2022 security patch along with a new firmware update for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in India. The latest security patch comes a few days after the start of the new year, while we’re guessing the January 2023 patch will arrive sooner.
The lineup of the OnePlus 9 is eligible for regular monthly security updates as part of the company’s commitment. In India, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro consumers can identify the December 2022 security update via OxygenOS build numbers: LE2111_11_F.18 and LE2121_11_F.18.
Moreover, there are some measurements of package sizes that reach up to 194 megabytes (depending on the model). The latest update for the OnePlus 9 series is being rolled out over OTA; hence, the update is being rolled out on an incremental basis, with users getting notification messages to download it. The upgrade is rolling out to a limited number of users today, with wider distribution expected in a few days.
You can check for the firmware updates by yourself! Navigate to your device’s system Settings, head toward the Software updates tab, and then click on Check for Updates; If an update is available, tap the Download and install button. Follow on-screen instructions to finish the process.
