The OnePlus 7 series and 7T series were launched with Android 9, and Android 10 operating systems, respectively, and the OnePlus 7 and 7T series have stopped supporting major software updates with OxygenOS 12.1. Surprisingly, today the Chinese tech giant has started rolling out a new software update for its three-year-old smartphones, the OnePlus 7.7 Pro and OnePlus 7T, which mainly installs the December 2022 Android security patch.
According to the information, OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7T, 7T Pro smartphone users are getting the latest update with build versions GM1901_11_H.32, GM1901_11_H32, and HD1901_11_F.18, HD1911_11_F.18 Furthermore, users will need at least 1.05GB (about 887MB for the 7T) to download the new firmware.
The new firmware update fixes some security and privacy-related vulnerabilities found in the OnePlus 7 series smartphones. The update is happening first within the Indian border. But the company will soon start rolling it out to other regions around the globe.
