Android 13 QPR Beta 2 Update Includes Support For Unicode 15 Emoji

Since launching on August 15th, 2022, the stable release of Android 13 to AOSP, the Search tech giant continues to update its platform with fixes and improvements. Recently, the company has released the Android 13 QPR2 beta 2 updates for eligible Pixel phones. 

Lately, Google has been testing some cool new stuff with Quarterly Platform Release (QPR) builds, and the brand invited the Pixel 4a/4a (5G), Pixel 5/5a, Pixel 6/6 Pro/6a, and the Pixel 7/7 Pro smartphone users to enroll the Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.

The latest update is rolling out to eligible Pixel devices, and users can identify it via firmware build version T2B2.221216.006. The Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2 update for Pixel devices brings several new features and improvements for its customers. Plus, it brings some notable changes to the user interface.

Furthermore, the tech giant rolled out the second beta with Unicode 15 emoji, an updated taskbar tutorial, as well as improvements to the system UI, camera app, battery, and other system-related functions.

Android QPR2 Beta 2 What’s New :

As per the release notes, this latest update has fixed an issue with the system UI that sometimes causes the home screen to become unresponsive. Furthermore, it also fixes the issue after switching back to normal video capture mode from slow motion mode in the Google Camera app. 

Further fixes an issue where the app continues to capture slow-motion video if the capture speed is changed between 1/8x and 1/4x in slow-motion mode. Lastly, it installs the January 2023 Android security patch for system security and stability enhancements.

New Unicode 15.0 Emoji :

The new emoji bring new ways for users to express their experiences. According to the report, a total of Unicode 15.0 21 new emojis have been introduced in the Android 13 QPR Beta 2 update, which you can see below.
