January 2023 Security Update Released For Six More Realme Smartphones

Realme is an emerging Chinese smartphone brand that focuses on the critical needs of users by integrating power with style. Taking another step to ensure the safety and longevity of your phones, the company has started rolling out a new firmware update for its flagship to mid-range Six smartphones that mainly install the December 2022 and January 2023 Android security patch Updates.

Realme has started rolling out the January 2023 security patch for Realme 9i, Realme 8 5G, GT 2 Pro, Narzo 30 5G, Narzo 30A, and Pad (LTE/WiFi) in India. The update, which is currently rolling out to a limited number of users soon and will have a wider rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs.

However, a couple of days ago, the update was already rolled out for the  Realme 7, C21, Narzo 20 Pro, and Narzo 30 4G comes with the build numbers RMX2151_11_F.12, RMX3201_11_C.16, RMX2161_11_F.12 and RMX2156_11_F.12 respectively. Read more…

Coming back to recent developments, the January 2023 security patch for Realme 9i, Realme 8 5G, GT 2 Pro, Narzo 30 5G, Narzo 30A, and Pad (LTE/WiFi) carries firmware version  RMX3491_11_C.08, RMX3241_11_C.07, RMX3301_11_C.13, RMX3242_11_C.07, RMX3171_11_C.12, RMP2102_11_A.11, and RMP2103_11_A.11, respectively.

Thus, you should install the update as it appears on the notification panel of your device. Currently, the latest software is happening through the OTA process. As a result, it may take a few days to reach all eligible units in the mentioned areas. Till then, you can check the build version on your handset to manually install the update.

How To Update:
If you are a Realme user, you can install the latest January 2023 update via the device Settings. First of all, launch Settings> Click on About device> From here, tap on Official Version, then wait for the update checking process. Now, click on the Download and install button, and the phone will start downloading and installing the latest software update for your device.
