While 2022 was a good year for 5G phones, especially in the mid-range, 2023 is shaping up to be even better for more affordable 5G devices. India recently got its two most suitable 5G phones courtesy of Realme and Oppo.

Oppo Reno8 T 5G and Realme 10 Pro+ 5G are recently released smartphones under Rs 30,000 in India that offer flagship-level specifications with 5G support. Both the devices have made some compromises to reach their sub-30K price tag. But which of these phones offers the best value; Well, hang on and let’s find out.

What are the differences between the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G and Oppo Reno8 T 5G?

The design and build of both phones are similar, with the A53s 5G being slightly bigger, but there is a noticeable difference. Both phones have two slightly circular camera islands at the top left corner, while the Realme 10 Pro+ opts flash next to it. And a flash in the 2nd circular island on the Oppo Reno8 T 5G.

In terms of performance, both the phones have slightly different processors, with the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G getting the MediaTek Dimensity 1080, while the Oppo Reno8 T 5G gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695.

So the Realme 10 Pro+ has a slight edge herewith the Dimensity 1080, being faster than the 695 chipsets with up to 17% speed and better RAW performance.

The Reno 8T 5G comes in a single variant with 8GB of RAM, while the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G model has 6GB/8GB of RAM. Moreover, Realme uses Dynamic RAM Expansion technology that uses the storage memory to act as RAM when required.

Talking about the camera, the triple camera setup is almost the same on both phones. However, the 108 MP primary sensor of the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G looks the better of the two sensors. On the front, the lower megapixel camera on the 10 Pro+ 5G could also be a bit of a disadvantage compared to the Reno8 T 5G.

Both the devices also have a similar display and charging speed, although the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G is equipped with a heavier battery capacity. When it comes to the interface, Realme UI and ColorOS are quite similar, with the former offering a cleaner UI experience.

Final Verdict: 

Both are similar specifications smartphones under Rs 30,000 in India, but the Realme 10 Pro Plus is better than OPPO Reno8 T 5G in terms of price, camera, storage, battery etc. That’s why you can buy 10 Pro+ at a lower price.
