Android Auto 8.9 Is Rolling Out, But Coolwalk Redesign Is Still Not Widely Available

The last major redesign of Android Auto was in 2019; later, it received another UI/UX design change which added several functions to the app at the Google I/O event in May 2021. With the start of this year, the search tech giant is releasing a new redesign UI for all uses called Coolwalk, but it’s still not widely available. 

Meanwhile, the company is rolling out a new update for the Android Auto application after the rolling out for beta tester, which fixes some bugs and brings some improvements to deliver a seamless experience.

As per the information, this update is not an official Play Store build, but you can install the APK from a trusted third-party site to experience the Android Auto 8.9 new features that bring several improvements and fixes to the CoolWalk UI.

With Coolwalk, you can have multiple apps running at the same time on your car’s display. There are also some advantages of Google Maps, which provide more information. The media card has been redesigned; There’s a new dock for switching between recent apps.
