Android 14: List of Smartphones That Can Experience The Developer Preview

Google has started working on Android 14, the next major version of Android. The first developer preview of Android 14 was released on February 8, 2023, and gave information about the features coming to the OS.

Beyond that, the Android 14 developer site has much more information about the preview, including a download and release timeline for the Pixel. Now, here’s the question: which non-Pixel smartphones can experience the Android 14 Developer Preview in the future?

Android 14 Schedule:

As per the testing schedule, the Android 14 preview program will last till the final public release for the AOSPs, and the OEM plans to roll out the stable Android 14 by the end of the year. Google has already released the first Android DP in early February 2023 and aims to release DP2 in March.

Moving on, we’ll see the first beta build in April, the second in May, the third in June (with Android 14 platform stability), and in July, we’ll see the Beta 4 and Beta 5 build. The final release of Android 13 will happen by the end of Q3 2023.

On February 8, Google introduced Android 14 to the Developer Preview channel for testing and development, and the first Developer Preview has already arrived for Pixel devices. However, by April, when the public beta extends to Pixel devices, the search tech giant may open up early access to other smartphone makers like OnePlus, Realme, and Oppo, among others.

On the flip side, as usual, Samsung will not part the Android developer preview and will roll out its own One UI 6.0 beta update after the Android 14 stable update.

Developer Preview Of Android 14 list:

  • Pixel devices
  • OnePlus 11
  • Xiaomi 13 Pro
  • iQOO 11 Pro
  • Vivo X90 Pro+
  • OPPO Find X6 Pro
  • Realme GT3 (Expected)

Android 14 Features:

The internal codename of Android 14 is UpsideDownCake. Since it has only been released in developer preview form so far, it includes performance, privacy, security, and user customization enhancements, as well as some UI design changes that Google plans to bring with its final version. Furthermore, it optimizes how apps work together, improves system health and battery life, and improves the end-user experience.
