Official: Nothing Phone (2) Will Launch With Snapdragon 8 Series Chip

Earlier last month, Nothing’s founder, Carl Pei, confirmed the release of the Phone (2) later this year with a “more premium” smartphone with a greater focus on software and hardware experience. At MWC 2023, Carl Pei confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 series chipset would power the Nothing phone (2) without revealing the exact model name.

Unfortunately, the company has not confirmed the model number of the processor. In the meantime, we’re assuming that the Nothing Phone (2) could be powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset since it powers many flagship Android devices this year.

Moving on, this news is unsurprising as we have already heard that the Nothing Phone (2) will be high-end instead of the mid-range Phone (1). So, compared to the Snapdragon 778G+ in the Phone (1), the Phone (2) will see a big performance boost with the flagship ship, so the Phone is likely to cost more.

In an interview last month, Carl said that the Phone (2) would launch in the US, sharing that the US market was the company’s top priority. He added that the Phone will be ‘more premium’ than its predecessor and that software will be the team’s primary focus. Also, the Phone (2) is expected to arrive in the third quarter of the year so that it could be launched between July and September.
