Samsung One UI 6.0 Ineligible Galaxy Device List

Android 14 has officially rolled out for stable from Pixel devices, and a number of Galaxy devices will be receiving it this year, along with Samsung One UI 6.0. Additionally, Samsung also released the stable version of the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for its flagship Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, we have compiled a list of ineligible Samsung Galaxy devices that will not get the One UI 6.0 update based on Android 14.

Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, and Z Flip 5G users were reaching their end of the major update support. Meanwhile, a new announcement from Samsung suggested they could be receiving a new major software update.

Although Samsung included these devices in a One UI 6-related article on its website, in a footnote to the article, Samsung mentioned that Galaxy Enhance-X features will be available on devices running One UI 6 or higher, including Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, and Z Flip 5G . Although this was likely a mistake, Samsung’s partial error has now been fixed, and the list of eligible devices in the footnote has been updated.

Samsung Update Policy:

Samsung’s flagships launched in 2021 and later are eligible for four generations of OS upgrades as well as five years of security patches. As a result, the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S23 series phones will get the One UI 6.0 update based on Android 14. At the same time, select mid-range phones along with Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A73 are also listed to get One UI 6.0 this year.

Hence, the Galaxy S20 series and Note 20 series smartphones are no longer eligible for any major firmware upgrade. It is worth mentioning that all the devices have received Android 13-based One UI 5.1 as the third major update. As per the company’s software update policy, Samsung devices will not receive the next big Android update – Android 14.

The Samsung Galaxy devices listed below won’t be getting Android 14 and One UI 6.0, but they will continue to receive security patches for a while. As per Samsung’s software update policy, the Galaxy devices mentioned below in the list are ineligible to receive this upcoming premium One UI 6.0 software update.
