Samsung: One UI 6.0 Early Access Beta May Be Available For These Galaxy Devices [Android 14]

Google has brought the first and second developer previews of Android 14, and the company is expected to launch the Android 14 public beta program at its I/O 2023 event (May 10). The Android 14 beta version is currently restricted to Google Pixel device owners. On the other hand, Samsung may start the One UI 6.0 Early Access Beta program for eligible Galaxy devices sometime after the official launch of the new operating system.

According to the testing schedule, Google will release beta builds in April and platform stability in June. Furthermore, the stable Android 14 OS will reach the smartphone by August. Giving some leeway in the timeline, the Korean tech giant will start One UI 6.0 Early Access Beta testing for Samsung devices.

Not much has been revealed about Samsung’s upcoming One UI 6.0 update, but we’ve got a few hints. They are about beta or launch timing. In the meantime, we have managed to get a list of Samsung devices eligible for the One UI 6.0 Early Access Beta race in the coming months.

Recalling the One UI 5.0 beta rollout, Samsung’s latest Galaxy S23 series will be the first series to get the One UI 6.0 Early Access update. Later, the company will expand the beta testing program to the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21 series alongside the upcoming and older foldable smartphones.

As per the previous track, Samsung may announce the stable One UI 6.0 version in October 2023. Last year, the Korean manufacturer launched the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program in early August 2022 launch. After taking almost three months to achieve stability through its beta testing, the company managed to roll out the official One UI 5.0 firmware in late October.

Going forward, we can also expect similar timings in the One UI 6.0 case. As of this article, the Early Access Beta program may be available for many Galaxy devices, including some mid-range Galaxy A and M series.
