The second Developer Preview of Android 14 was released on 8th March 2023, and as always, there are lots of new features and changes hidden under the hood. One such feature is the new Separate Ring And Notification Volume feature that lets you prioritize incoming calls over app notifications and set the volume higher for your Pixel. Well, this is going to be the answer, as Android 14 is rolling out a number of interesting features and improvements over the previous upgrade, and one of them could be the Lock Screen Live Wallpapers feature for your device. As per the information, you may have a different live wallpaper for both the home screen and lock screen with the stable Android 14.
Live wallpapers are animated and usually interactive backgrounds that provide an ever-changing screen to keep your phone moving. They are animated posters that play on a loop, or a particular pattern, to change the overall perspective of the device.
Accordingly, the source revealed that the Android 13 QPR2 build has several code variations that could enable “independent lock screen live wallpapers”. On the flip side, one code change adds a new method to Android’s wallpaper manager called SetWallpaperComponentWithFlags( ).
Apart from different live wallpapers for home and lock screens, Android 14 brings some UI design changes, as well as enhancements to performance, privacy, security and user customization that Google plans to bring with its stable version.
