As per inputs shared by OnePlus 9RT phone owners on the community forum, the device has been affected by a strange critical crash glitch issue where it cannot power off/restart. According to users, they faced the annoying issue of phone crashing, but they got out of the way by a simple restart or power off.

However, in the second scenario, the phone is so badly wired that the power button doesn’t work at all. Long pressing it will not show the power menu. When he swipes up on the screen to access the power menu, it pops up momentarily, but it quickly disappears after that.

Whether this is a critical crash glitch and unable to power off/restart fault or a problem triggered by recent updates is still a question. However, the company should take some initiative to fix this bug for OnePlus 9RT phone users.

As of now, the concerned devices have not received the latest March 2023 security update. Thus, we can hope for a fix and solution to this problem with the upcoming OxygenOS 13 iteration.
