OnePlus 11 “Media Output” Feature: Coming To More Devices With Next Update

Recently, OnePlus officially announced its next version of UI, the OxygenOS 13.1, alongside the Nord CE 3 Lite in India. Meanwhile, the Chinese tech giant plans to expand the Media Output feature with the upcoming OxygenOS 13 versions to old OnePlus devices.

In the latest version of OnePlus 11, the R&D team has added an option named “Media Output” in the Control Center. Also, this availability will be added to the subsequent release of OxygenOS 13.0 to more eligible older devices.

According to the highlights of an FAQ session for OxygenOS – March 2023, one question is whether adding an option to toggle between Bluetooth and the speaker is possible since the current switch is so inconspicuous.

Happily, the OnePlus developer replied that the suggestions had been considered. Thus the company has already added Media Output in the OnePlus 11, which appears in the Control Center. The developer said this feature would also be added in subsequent releases of OxygenOS 13.0, allowing our users to freely switch between Bluetooth and speaker in all situations while using mass media.

This is not the first time, so far, we have encountered many users on the forum who have requested an effective media tab in the quick settings panel. However, the Android 13-based upgrade has removed many useful improvements.

After all, OnePlus is making every effort to bring back the media output feature to provide a seamless audio experience among users. We may get to see some favorable changes in the OxygenOS 14 upgrade.
