No More One UI Software Updates For These Samsung Devices

Samsung Ended Software support

Samsung is very picky about software updates and keeps on releasing the latest security patches and major OxygenOS software updates for its devices. On the other hand, the Korean tech company also continues to push ineligible devices to the End-of-Life (EOL) list, which means software update support has been dropped (ended) for some Galaxy smartphones from 2023.

Samsung ended software support for these Galaxy devices.

Earlier this month, Samsung updated its software support page to detail the April 2023 patch and mention the list of eligible devices. And sadly, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S10 series models have reached the end of the support period, which means no more software updates. At the same time, Samsung has shifted the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10 Lite to a quarterly update schedule, which means they will get the same update every three months.

As a result, today, we are acknowledging which Samsung Galaxy devices will not receive the One UI software update shortly. Next, we’ll also explore why tech manufacturers ship their intelligent devices at the end of support. Every smartphone comes out with new technology and equipment. Manufacturers also put top-end tweaks and features in their software products to refine and improve the user experience.

However, due to outdated and incompatible systems, new software functions and features often must fit correctly in some handsets. As a result, the company is forced to push such devices to the end-of-life list and stop updating distribution for them.

However, the Galaxy S10 series is one of many that have seen the end of its software support cycle. Here are some of the Galaxy A-series devices on the EOL list. Hence, you can check the devices that will no longer receive software updates below.

These Samsung Galaxy devices will no longer receive software updates:

  • Galaxy S10
  • Galaxy S10e
  • Galaxy S10+
  • Galaxy A50
  • Galaxy A30
