Android 14 Beta 2 Comes With These Amazing Features

At the I/O conference on May 10, Google launched the second developer preview program of Android 14 for its Pixel devices, following which other manufacturers like Xiaomi, Nothing, OPPO, and OnePlus have also started beta testing. The latest Android 14 for Pixel devices comes with a huge list of fixes alongside some incredible features.

Although the update changelog doesn’t reveal much input on the new addition, here in this article, we have a few things that show what further improvements are happening with the latest build.

According to the Android Blog post, Android 14 Beta 2 includes enhancements around camera and media, privacy and security, system UI, and developer productivity. These features have little effect on the device. They are simple yet classy and make the overall UI more intuitive and convenient. Furthermore, these changes improve the user experience with the Android device.

Android 14 Beta 2 Amazing Features

Font Size Quick Settings tile

After installing Android 14 Beta 2, you can change the font size of the tiles present in the Quick Settings menu. Android users can choose from 6 options to change the font size in the tiles.

Resign Trash Icon

There is now a new icon for the Trash or Bin in the App Info section. Before this, the icon featured a lining structure. But in the latest version, the trash can icon appears in a simple texture.

App info loses line separation.

Currently, long-pressing on an icon enables a small app info window with separate. But with Android 14 Beta 2, the tech giant has removed that layout and combined the App info and Pause app layout in one tile.

New Security & Privacy icon

Plus, you will get the changes in new animation for the wallpaper and style section and long press on the app icon. Apart from this, there is also a new security and privacy icon. You can see the below image.

Other Minor Changes:

  • New Battery Saver Status Bar icon
  • Floating Clipboard (still in development)
  • Contrast themes in Developer options.
  • Material You shapes when entering PIN
  • Dots for Pixel Launcher pages
  • ‘Languages & input’ split into ‘Languages’ and ‘Keyboard.’
