Vivo X90 Pro and iQOO 11 Are First To Enter Android 14 Beta Program

At I/O 2023, Google announced the Android 14 beta for several Android smartphones. Additionally, iQOO, Lenovo, Not, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi have opened the beta registration window for their latest flagship devices launched in the last few months. Vivo X90 Pro and iQOO 11 smartphones have entered the Android 14 beta program. According to the information, this build is only for developers and advanced users and not for normal users.

Vivo has kicked off the Android 14 beta program for the X90 Pro and iQOO 11. Now, developers having the respective handsets can download and install themselves in this activity to optimize their apps for the next version of Android. At the same time, with the help of this upgrade, the Chinese tech giant will try to frame its upcoming FunTouch OS software.

As we know, this is a beta firmware. You might face bugs and issues. Therefore, install the upgrade at your own risk. Also, back up your important data, as the upgrade will erase all user content from the smartphone. Next, you may find the following known issues with your device:

Known issue

  • Camera: Click the shutter to take pictures without sound.
  • Camera: Switch Professional Mode Flashback.
  • Camera: Switch to dual exposure mode to take pictures – Stuck and flashback.
  • Camera: No pictures in the album after moving photos/HD documents.
  • Fingerprint recognition: After completing the pattern unlock setup, when entering Settings > Security > Fingerprint, it is impossible to record fingerprints, and the app crashes.
  • Settings: Enter settings, display, and brightness, adjust brightness, and the screen brightness does not change.
  • Bluetooth: After connecting Bluetooth earphones, there is no sound when playing music through them.
  • S-capture: After starting screen recording on the mobile phone and ending the recording, the screen flashes continuously, and the device doesn’t operate.
  • Gesture navigation is not available.

How To Apply Android 14 Beta For Vivo and iQOO:

To download and install this beta update, download the beta package from vivo.com. Now, connect your Vivo and iQOO device to your PC and switch your phone’s USB setting to Transfer Files, and copy the downloaded firmware to your phone’s root directory.

Next, find the firmware via Settings > System update > Local update and tap Start Upgrade once the verification is complete. Now wait for the auto-update to complete.
