Samsung Android 14: These Galaxy Phones Will Not Get One UI 6.0 Update

Samsung smartphones run its self-developed software system – One UI top on Android OS. Nowadays, Android 14-based One UI 6.0 is the latest and trendiest topic among Samsung Galaxy users. Every smartphone holder is eager to see which handset will grab the upcoming flagship build. Conversely, several Galaxy devices may not receive the upcoming One UI 6.0 upgrade.

As a result, each company removes one or more devices from the major upgrade list. In this article, we provide some popular Galaxy phones and tablets that will not get Android 14-base3d One UI 6.0. This is because companies used to change their firmware features, which often became incompatible with the device rule.

Samsung’s flagships launched in 2021 and later are eligible for four generations of OS upgrades as well as five years of security patches. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S23 series phones will get the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. At the same time, select mid-range phones with Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A73 are also listed to get One UI 6 this year.

Sadly, Android 13 will be the last major OS update for the next Galaxy phones and tablets, such as Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Flip (LTE/5G), S20 FE (LTE/5G), Z Fold 2 5G, Note 10 Lite, S10 Lite, A51, and A71 devices.

These Samsung Galaxy devices will not get Android 14 and One UI 6.0, but they will keep getting security patches for some time. As per Samsung’s software update policy, the Galaxy devices mentioned below in list format will not receive the next big Android update – Android 14-based One UI 6.0.

  • Galaxy S10 Lite
  • Galaxy S20 FE
  • Galaxy S20 / Galaxy S20+ / Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Note 10 Lite
  • Galaxy Note 20 / Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Flip (LTE/5G)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 2
  • Galaxy A22 (LTE/5G)
  • Galaxy A32 (LTE/5G)
  • Galaxy A51
  • Galaxy A71
  • Galaxy Tab A8
  • Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
  • Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020)
  • Galaxy Tab S7 / Galaxy Tab S7+

One UI 6.0 Release:

Google released the first developer preview build of Android 14 for eligible Pixel smartphones in early February. Now, Android 14 has reached the final beta milestone. and the new OS will become official for the Pixel smartphone lineup as well as AOSP.

On the other hand, Samsung has also started rolling out the One UI 6.0 Beta program update for its flagship as well as mid-range Galaxy devices, including Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy A54 5G, and Galaxy A34 5G and more eligible Galaxy devices get soon in the coming days.

On the flip side, Samsung has added six more devices to the Android software support list, including the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10 5G, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy Note 10+ 5G, Galaxy A10s, and Galaxy Xcover Field Pro. Therefore, these Galaxy devices have completed their software update support and will no longer be upgraded including security patches.
