Samsung Reportedly Begins Android 14 (One UI 6.0) Beta Testing For Galaxy S22, Z Fold 4

According to information, Samsung plans to release the first Android 14 beta update for select Galaxy phones by the end of July. Meanwhile, some One UI 6.0 test builds for the latest Galaxy S23 series have surfaced. A new report suggests that Samsung has started testing Android 14-based One UI 6.0 on some of its high-end phones, including the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Recently, Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 One UI 6.0 test builds have appeared on Twitter. Notably, this is not a beta update for the device, but it states that the brand is testing the beta firmware internally and will release them publicly soon. However, some previous reports suggest that One UI 6.0 will be rolling out to select Galaxy phones by the end of July. These high-end phones include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

According to the information via @theonecid, the South Korean tech giant has reportedly begun Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 One UI 6.0 Beta testing. Moreover, the Galaxy S22 Ultra One UI 6.0 beta test builds carry the firmware version S908USQU2DWF1 while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 customers can identify it through version number F936USQU3DWF8.

Apart from these, this has yet to be known in the information. It could be possible that Samsung will first start the Android 14 One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series in July, and later, the company may expand the One UI 6.0 beta program to more high-end and premium mid-range phones, which includes the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Since One UI 6.0 will be a major update, we can expect the company to bring many new features and improvements. It also brings improved performance, better privacy and security features, great battery life, more UI-related enhancements, and increased fluidity of animations and transitions.
