Google July 2023 Android Update Begins Rolling Out To Pixel Tablet

The recently released Pixel tablet is getting the July 2023 firmware update with several Android OS bug fixes and improvements. The US tech company has already rolled out this software to consumers, and a phased rollout is also underway, and it’ll roll out to Pixel phones soon. 

Along with the latest release, the tech giant is also rolling out the July 2023 security update for all supported Pixel phones running the Android 13 operating system. Google’s changelog for Pixel tablet users keeps things concise as the company cites bug fixes and upcoming improvements for Pixel devices. 

Pixel Tablet July 2023 Update:

According to the changelog, the update brings general improvements to charging, battery usage or thermal performance in certain situations by optimizing power consumption. In addition to battery and charging improvements, the July 2023 update also fixes an issue where the lock screen notification text was sometimes displayed behind unlocked UI elements.

Talking about the Android 13 July 2023 security update, the official bulletin page marks a total of 12 vulnerabilities in the Framework and 11 in the System section. There are 3 fixes in the kernel and 1 fix for the Google Play system update section. The company has classified these vulnerabilities based on their severity from severe to low.

Apart from these vulnerabilities, the company has also fixed the third-party components. For instance, there are 1 high-level fix in Imagination Technologies, 2 high-level fixes in MediaTek components, 4 Moderate and high-level fixes in Arm components, and 7 high-level fixes of Qualcomm components.
