Verizon carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphone users in the US are receiving the July 2023 security update. You can identify the latest update through One UI build version S908USQS3CWF2. The update is currently rolling out in the US and will be expanded to more soon.

Although the Galaxy S22 series smartphone users have already received the July 2023 security patch in some European countries. Now, Samsung has expanded the July 2023 security update for the Galaxy S22 in the US. The new system installs the latest Android security patches to improve security and stability.
Moving on, the Galaxy S22 series of devices are receiving the update in the US. The update is live for T-Mobile and MetroPCS carrier-locked models and carrier-unlocked modes.
Carrier-unlocked variant users of the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the July 2023 security update through One UI build versions S901U1UES3CWF3, S906U1UES3CWF3, and S908U1UES3CWF3, respectively. At the same time, the carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy S22 series can identify the update through the S90*USQS3CWF3 version number.
Samsung revealed the changelog for the July 2023 security patch yesterday. The update fixes 52 security flaws affecting Google’s firmware and 38 security issues in Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets. Out of these 90 fixes, Samsung also mentioned that it had already included three fixes in the June 2023 patch, which Google has now released as a part of the July 2023 patch.
Galaxy S22 users in the US should be able to download the July 2023 update after they receive the notification. Alternatively, they can try to trigger the update process by opening the Settings app on their phone, navigating to “Software Update”, and tapping “Download and Install”.
Galaxy S22 One UI 6.0 Update:
Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series in early 2022 with Android 12 out-of-the-box. The flagship S series devices will receive the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in late 2022, and these phones are currently running on One UI 5.1. The phones in the series will get three more Android OS updates, starting with Android 14-based One UI 6.0 later this year.
