Google Releases Android 14 Beta 4 For Pixel Family Including Pixel Tablet/Fold

Just after releasing the Android 14 Beta 3.1 a few weeks ago, Google is now sending the Beta 4 update to the Pixel family, Including Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold. The update will reach every Android 14 Beta member very soon as the company has begun a gradual rollout.

We can say that Google’s Android 14 Beta program is nearing its end, with July being the last month in the development timeline before the possible, stable release in August. With the Beta 4 update, Android 14 has reached second-platform stability, which signifies the final conclusion of APIs and app behaviour. Now, the company said that developers publish apps on Google Play for devices running Android 14 at the official API level.

Also, the US tech giant said that developers need to be ready with their Android 14 compatible apps to ensure a seamless app experience ahead of the final release of Android 14 later this year.

Like previous builds, Beta 4 also includes changes to the platform that improve privacy, security, and overall user experience. These changes may affect your apps, and testing your apps involves installing your production app on a device running Android 14 beta 4.

How to Update:

If you already have installed the Android 14 Developer Preview or Beta build, you will automatically receive an over-the-air (OTA) update to Android 14 Beta 4.
