In early May 2023, OnePlus starts the Android 14 beta program to the OnePlus 11 5G smartphones. Lasty month, the company released the Android 14 beta 2 to Developers are now experiencing early builds of Android 14 for the OnePlus 11 as part of the Developer Preview program. Plus, Google started working on the new Android 14 operating system as early as February, the official release of which is expected by August this year.
Multiple OnePlus devices are eligible for the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 upgrade. And thanks to OnePlus’ firmware rollout history, it’s easy enough to figure out which OnePlus phones will be receiving the OxygenOS 14 firmware update this year.
Once the beta testing is over, OnePlus will start rolling out the stable version of Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 to the public. To recall, OnePlus was the first brand to roll out the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 update for its flagship OnePlus 10 Pro. We expect the company to stick to its position of releasing the OxygenOS 14 update this year. In addition to the OnePlus 11, select more models will be invited to the beta activity to test the OS ahead of release.
