Galaxy Tab S8 Series Gets One UI 5.1.1 Update With Many New Features

Following the One UI 5.1.1 beta release last month, Samsung announced the official rollout of One UI 5.1.1 for previous-generation Galaxy foldables, tablets and smartwatches. Today, the South tech giant started rolling out One UI 5.1.1 software update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series with better multitasking features.

Despite minor improvements, One UI 5.1.1 brings many new features to the foldable smartphone and new security patches. The latest major update is rolling out across Europe, and we expect it to reach other regions and countries within the next few days. The new update also brings the July 2023 security patch to the tablet for better device security.

One UI 5.1.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra in European countries comes with the One UI version X706BXXU5BWH6, X806BXXU5BWH6, and X906BXXU5BWH6 respectively. Users must download around a 2.6 GB package to install the update.

Based on Android 13, One UI 5.1.1 is set to deliver a new level of innovation and productivity directly to your fingertips. It includes Flex Mode, Multi Window, Hidden Pop-up, Pop-up view to Multi Window, two-handed drag and drop, Quick Share, Photo Editor, and lock screen customizations. Read more

In addition, the significant update also brings the July 2023 security patch, which addresses a series of CVEs by fixing vulnerabilities associated with Galaxy apps and services, thereby strengthening the device’s defences against threats.”
