Galaxy S23 Gets New Contact & Message Feature With One UI 5.1.1 Update

Samsung has continued to give updates since the beginning of this month, and now it has rolled out its One UI 5.1.1 update with an August 2023 security update for the Galaxy S23 series. The update has delivered a few new changes and features in the functionality of contacts and messages, as well as improved system security. 

At the moment, the update is available in the US and rolled out by Verizon for locked variants. And it has arrived with its identification build number for Galaxy S23. The build code is S911USQU1AWG. For Galaxy S23+, the firmware version is S916USQU1AWGH, and for Galaxy S23 Ultra version is S918USQU1AWGH. It is expected that the update will soon be available to all. 

What’s New With The Update – 

With this update, the Galaxy S23 series devices get the latest One UI 5.1.1 software upgrade which enhances the Contacts and Messages experience of the users. Few but more convenient changes occur with this update which provides an ease to them along with the August 2023 security patch, which improves the system security vulnerability. 

New Changes In Contacts – 

With this latest One UI 5.1.1 Software Update, the brand has moved the contact’s Call Background menu to Contact Details, which were previously placed in settings. This is a small change to happen, but convenient enough. So now, the users do not need to tap extra. Now they can easily and quickly be able to reach the call background menu

How To Edit Call Background – 

For editing the call background, the users can follow the steps mentioned below; 

  • Firstly, select a contact. 
  • Then click on the three dots for more options. 
  • Finally, tap on the Edit call background. 

New Change In Messages – 

Samsung is offering with the latest One UI 5.1.1 update, a new change in the Galaxy Messages application. Previously in the messages app, the conversations and contacts tabs sequence were placed at the bottom of the screen, but with this new update, both tabs get replaced at the top of the screen while sharing an image. So now, the users can quickly get access to both accounts.
