How Many Updates Will The Redmi K60 Ultra Get?

Xiaomi is one of the most successful and popular smartphone manufacturers in the world. This Chinese tech giant is highly known for manufacturing budget-friendly smartphones. Not only are its budget smartphones amazing, but it also has a wide range of high-end flagship Android devices, which certainly compete with other big brands, including Samsung. 

Recently Xiaomi launched its next flagship smartphone, the Redmi K60 Extreme(Redmi K60 Ultra), in China last week. But what about the OS and Security updates? Here is the complete information about how many major OS and security updates will the Redmi K60 Extreme get.

The upcoming flagship smartphone, the Redmi K60 Extreme, is yet to launch in India, and according to Redmi’s official page, it has become Xiaomi’s first-ever device to receive a significant 4 years of Major OS updates along with 5 years of security patch updates. Interestingly, the Redmi K60 Extreme will be the first device to be in the queue for getting the latest MIUI 15.

Major OS & Security Updates:

Xiaomi certainly matches with the best update promise on Android, which is offered by Samsung in its Galaxy devices and OnePlus in its flagship devices. Recently Xiaomi has announced that its latest flagship, the Redmi K60 Extreme, which has Android 13 based MIUI 14 out of the box, will be getting 4 major OS updates, which means the device will get its update until Android 17, 2027.

On the other hand, the Redmi K60 Extreme will receive 5 years of security updates which means that the smartphone will be getting its security patches till 2028. Meanwhile, since the device is not yet launched in India, this flagship smartphone will likely be named Xiaomi 13T Pro. 

So, we can expect the Xiaomi 13T Pro to come with 4 years of major Android OS updates and five years of security patches.
