OxygenOS 14: How To Drag & Drop The Text To Another Application?

Android 14 has been released with several new major features and enhancements. Recently, alongside the new multitasking capability to provide a better user-friendly experience. As per this latest feature, the Android 14 beta version lets you drag and drop images, files and even text to any other application. Meanwhile, it’s been a few days since the first Alpha version of OxygenOS 14 was released, and now OnePlus has started rolling out its second Alpha version of Android 14-based OxygenOS 14. Interestingly, some beta testers have spotted drag-and-drop functionality with this latest OxygenOS 14 build.

Fortunately, the OnePlus outline is going to change with OxygenOS 14. According to the newest reports, the latest multitasking facility in OxygenOS 14 provides a much more intuitive experience to the OnePlus device users. However, some beta testers have spotted this feature in the latest Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 Alpha version, allowing users to drag and drop text to another application seamlessly.

Android 14-based OxygenOS 14: Drag & Drop feature

With the latest Android 14 update, you must long-press the selected texts with one finger and then use your second finger to perform system navigation gestures while holding the selected texts. This will remove the need to keep two apps in a split-screen mode to drag and drop text between those apps.

OxygenOS 14: How to use the Drag & drop feature?

To use the drag-and-drop feature, just follow the steps provided below:

  • Open page from where you want to select the text.
  • Select the text.
  • Now, Long press on the selected text with one finger.
  • Now, by using your second finger, drag the selected text and drop it to another application to perform system navigation gestures.

Apart from the drag-and-drop functionality, the latest Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 has other exciting and intuitive features. Enhanced system stability, bug fixes, and several issues have been fixed in this second Alpha version.
