One UI 5.1.1 Lets You Choose the Number Of Apps To See On the Taskbar

Samsung has released its latest One UI 5.1.1, which has arrived with lots of enhancements through new features, changes and improvements to increase the experience of the users at their convenience. The latest UI includes lots of new facilities; for instance, easier multitasking, more media controls, improved Flex Mode, camera and gallery also gets improved and many more. Out of these, there has been the most spectacular improvement in multitasking.

Samsung has given every possible feature to its Galaxy devices and has also been at the forefront, whereas multitasking has always been a major advantage putting the brand’s Galaxy phones in an alliance of their own. Noticeably the experience is even much better on the Galaxy foldables and tablets as well. Now One UI 5.1.1 is increasing the multitasking experience on Galaxy’s foldable smartphones and Galaxy Tablets which sit at the bottom of the display.

However, the taskbar was announced with One UI 4.1.1, which offers multiple functions and helps the users quickly access their most used or favourite app so they don’t have to search through the app drawer or even go to the home screen to find them. Also, the users can long press an application’s icon on the Taskbar and drag it out to launch it in split screen mode.

 The Taskbar also offers a shortcut for recently used applications and allows the users to switch between them even with a single tap, which is a fair amount faster as compared to switching between apps through Android’s standard recent apps display. This is most relevant because the users can switch it off if they wish, so the Taskbar isn’t too cluttered, but the most interesting part about One UI 5.1.1, is now the users can also able to choose exactly how many recent applications they want to show on the Taskbar, now it’s totally up to them.

One UI 5.1.1 for now is only available for some Galaxy tablets as well as all Galaxy Z Fold smartphones, but the original Galaxy Fold is an exceptional case. This latest UI permits the users to four recent apps on the Taskbar at any given time, apart from this also the users can reduce that number to three or two; interested users can do this by following the steps mentioned below;

One UI 5.1.1: Customise How Many Recent Apps You Want To Show On Taskbar

Launch the Settings app on Z Fold or Galaxy tablet (in case if the users are using a foldable, they have to do this on the inner display), then Click on Display for open the display settings and scroll down and click on Taskbar and finally Click on Show recent apps option, select the number of apps as per your choice to display on Taskbar.
