Today, the Chinese tech giant has released the August 2023 security update to various flagship phones, including the OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 8T. These phones have started getting the new security update for a limited number of users in India, and more countries should get the update within the next few days.
The latest software update for the OnePlus 10T comes with firmware version CPH2413_13.1.0.584(EX01) in India. TheOnePlus 8T is getting the August 2023 security update with firmware version KB2001_13.1.0.581(EX01). Notably, the company are starting to push an incremental rollout of OxygenOS August 2023 update for the OnePlus 10T and 8T and will roll out soon in the coming days.

As per the changelog, this update only focuses on improving the phone’s security by installing the latest August 2023 security update, so don’t expect any feature or performance updates from it. On the other hand, with this new August 2023 update, the system security has been enhanced compared to its previous version. If you don’t want to wait for the OTA update, you can manually download the update by opening your device’s Settings and going to the About Phone option. Android 14-based OxygenOS 14
Both the OnePlus 10T and the OnePlus 8T are eligible for three years of Android OS updates and four years of security updates. The OnePlus 10T has been launched with Android 13 out-of-the-box, so it will receive the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 as the first significant software update. The OnePlus 8T comes with Android 11 out of the box, so it will receive the Android 14 OS as its last major software update.
