Recently, OnePlus started rolling out Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 open beta for OnePlus 11 smartphone users. Meanwhile, OnePlus has opened the OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta program based on Android 14 for another Nord series smartphone – the OnePlus Nord 2T. This beta update is currently available in India for the OnePlus Nord 2T smartphone.
Back in May 2022, OnePlus launched the OnePlus Nord 2T smartphone in India. The handset comes with Android 13 out of the box, and the phone currently runs on the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13. Now, the company has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 2T users will soon be able to experience Android 14 OS on their smartphones.
OnePlus Nord 2T Android 14 OxygenOS 14 Closed Beta:
According to the community post, the Chinese tech giant announced the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 Closed beta testing program in India. You can join the program if you want to test the new operating system. With this beta program, the company will be expected to share feedback and suggestions to deliver a seamless experience before public rollout.
Notably, the brand will only invite 500 people who use the OnePlus Nord 2T and meet the essentials to join the closed beta. Also, this application is starting today, September 12, until a certain number of applications are reached. Therefore, we suggest that you must submit your application during this time, otherwise, the application channel will be closed.
Before applying for the beta program, users need to ensure that their OnePlus Nord 2T phone is updated to traceable version CPH2401_11.C.28 and CPH2401_11.C.29. To participate in the OxygenOS 14 testing phase, you must meet the following requirements:
- You are using a OnePlus Nord 2T India variant.
- You are an active OnePlus Community member.
- You are willing to regularly communicate and report issues/suggestions to the OnePlus team via the Feedback APP.
- You are willing to join our CBT Telegram group to communicate with the OnePlus team and other users actively and friendly.
- For confidentiality, participants are not allowed to secretly share the CBT installation package or any content related to the internal beta with people outside the project team.
After complete fill the requirements, OnePlus has warned that due to the early stage of the beta version, some third-party apps may not be fully compatible with Android 14. As a result, you may sometimes face issues like flashbacks, unresponsiveness, or other software-related errors after upgrading to Android 14.
Known issues
- When exporting photos shoot in succession, the thumbnails are grey and clicking is not responsive.
- Certain desktop cards are blank after upgrading.
- PRO mode is located in the first page while NIGHT mode is in the More section in Camera.
