In February 2022, Samsung extended its commitment to providing Galaxy users with the most up-to-date and more secure mobile experience by offering up to four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades on select devices. Available on select Galaxy S series, Z series and A series smartphones, as well as tablets. Moreover, this extended standard builds on Samsung’s previous promise of providing upgrades for up to three generations. On the flip side, the Korean tech giant also provides four years of upgrades to One UI Watch and Wear OS Powered by Samsung, ensuring users can enjoy the latest Watch experiences.
In addition to offering extended One UI upgrades, Samsung will now provide up to five years of Android security updates to help protect your Galaxy devices from bugs and viruses. When paired with Samsung Knox, Samsung’s award-winning defence-grade security platform, these updates provide Galaxy devices with end-to-end protection against potential security threats.
