Instagram Testing’ Multiple Audience List’ Feature For Story Sharing

Instagram from Meta has over 5B downloads, along with a 4-star rating. By this figure, it’s pretty clear that it is a loveable app and provides everything to the users at their convenience. Basically, it helps in connecting with friends and allows the users to share what they are up to. Well, it offers lots of features, but out of Stories is one of the most interesting parts of the app. And now the reports are indicating that the app is testing something new for Stories. For detailed information, check out the article below.

Recent reports indicate that, according to Adam Mosseri, Instagram is testing a new feature for enhancing the users’ Stories experience. Through the new feature, the company will offer the ability to the users so they can share their stories with various audience lists. Instagram has already introduced the “Close Friends” option for sharing stories with close ones.

What’s New Is On The Way For Instagram’s Stories

Basically, the company is testing a new feature that offers more options to the users for sharing their stories on the gram. Once the company rolls out this feature, the users will get the ability to share their stories with different audience lists. Presently, the users have the power to create only one close friend’s list for sharing their personal stories.

But through the upcoming feature, the users will get the ability to create more than one close friend list as per their convenience and also be able to add names to the list. In plain words, now the users can create a list of close friends according to the descriptions of the stories. For instance, if the users are sharing foodie stuff on their stories, they can create a close friend list that fits the food content with the name food or whatever they want and share it with them only.

Limitations For Stories With Multiple Audience Lists On Instagram

The tiny noticeable limitation of experiencing this feature of ‘Multiple audience lists‘ for stories on Instagram is that this works only when the users have a public profile. To experience this feature, one must have a public handle.

This feature will give more control to the users over their stories. This simply allows us to share stories with smaller groups. However, for now, the feature is still in the developing stage, and as soon as possible, the company will roll it out widely.
