Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G Receives October 2023 Security Update

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 already got the October 2023 security update in the US, and the company is now rolling out this update for more users. Right now, the latest Android security patch is available for Galaxy Z Flip 3 models in some Latin American countries, and other countries will soon get it.

The October 2023 security update for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone can be identified via PDA version F711BXXS6FWI1 and an installation package size of approximately 383.73 MB.

Moving forward, the refreshed firmware improves the system security, stability, and performance of your smartphone to provide a smooth and seamless user experience without any lag or interruptions.

According to Samsung, the latest October 2023 Android security update fixes 12 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures, which are vulnerabilities that affect Galaxy smartphones, along with 2 critical vulnerabilities and a couple dozen high-risk vulnerabilities in the core Android OS.

This is just a general update, so it only brings security maintenance. So, you can’t assume that it brings some new features and improvements, but you may notice some minor improvements after installing it.

How To Update:

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 users in Latin America should be able to download the latest update by going to Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install. If you have received this firmware, download and install the update for a bug-free and smooth experience.

To remind you, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 with Android 11 in the second half of 2021, and it is eligible for 4 years of OS updates. The foldable phone received an Android 12 update in late 2021 and an Android 13 update in late 2022 and is currently running on Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1. Now, it’s eligible for two more Android OS updates, and it will receive its last major update with Android 15.
