US Variants Of Galaxy A54 5G, Galaxy A53 Are Now On October 2023 Security Patch

Over the past few days, Samsung has been rolling out the October 2023 security update to its mid-range and high-end phones. Yesterday, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy Tab S8 5G received the latest security update. Now, the Galaxy A54 5G and the Galaxy A53 have started getting the October 2023 security update.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A54 5G comes with firmware version A546U1UES5AWI3 in the US. This update is for the factory-unlocked version of the phone and is available on all carrier networks. The carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy A54 5G are getting the new update with firmware version A546USQS5AWJ1 and are available on T-Mobile and MetroPCS.

The Galaxy A53 5G is getting the October 2023 security update with firmware version A536USQS8CWI1 in the US. This update is for the factory-locked version on the US Cellular phone and will be available on all carrier networks soon. This update is only focused on improving the security and stability of the phone, so don’t expect it to bring any feature or performance updates.

Talking about what’s new, the latest software update brings the October 2023 security patch that fixes over 40 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software. The firmware only brings security patches, so don’t expect to see any new features or performance improvements.

If you live in the US and have a Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A53 phone, you can check for the new software update by going to Settings >> Software Update and tapping Download and Install.
