Spotify, the most popular music streaming platform allows users to get engaged with several interesting features that the platform offers, including podcasts, fresh playlists, audios, top mixes, recommended, best of artists, episodes, fresh new music, India’s best, new releases, shows and more. However, several iOS users have reported issues with the performance of the Spotify application

It’s been a while, several iOS users have complained about the performance issues with the Spotify app for a number of weeks, which are constantly coming up on the company’s community forum. Though, Spotify has already acknowledged the issue the company is yet to announce any fix to the issue.

Meanwhile, Spotify has stated that it’s been receiving several complaints from iOS users, saying that their Spotify app is either crashing or the music playback is suddenly stopping in the mid-song. A couple of weeks ago, Spotify noted that the problem is occurring on versions 8.8.72.623 and higher of the Spotify app on iOS and also committed that the investigation is in process.

Moreover, in its iOS app, Spotify has recently rolled out three new updates, with the current version number 8.8.78. All three latest updates have come with general improvements, and it seems like the company is possibly trying to resolve the issue but has not identified it yet.

Surprisingly, several iOS users are still facing random crashing and playback disturbances within the Spotify app. As per the official community thread, there were reports from a few hours ago, while some of them even dated a couple of months ago.

A random Spotify user who uses the app on iOS wrote, “Spotify has updated 4 or 5 times in the last couple of weeks, and nothing has fixed this issue”. Whereas another Spotify user commented, “I’m also a paying customer, and even after months, the problem is not solved”.

However, it’s also observed that Spotify on iOS suddenly stops playing or crashes while downloading a playlist and listening to it. Also, several listeners have noticed that the issue is replicable and is easily transferred across multiple iOS devices.

In addition, many of such complaints have come from users who own older iPhone models, including iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. There are several complaints from the users using iPad and iPad Touch.
