Google is testing a very interesting feature a permanent search bar for the Play Store, which will enhance the users’ searching experience on the Play Store. At the moment the company is making efforts that will result in easier access to the search bar, settings menu, and notification area as well.
It is being speculated because this new change which will introduce a sticky search bar on Play Store’s home screen has been spotted by a well-known tipster AssembleDebug. Once the company rolls out this new feature, then no matter how far the users scroll down the search bar remains constant on their store’s home screen.
Currently, whenever users scroll down in Play Store, the search bar is placed at the top of the screen, and automatically disappears then for accessing to it they have to scroll up again only the search bar appears, and all this leads to inconvenience somewhere to the users in easily access. But now the company is gearing up to solve this issue, by testing a new sticky search bar, so whenever the company completes its testing and widely makes this update available to all, then the users while scrolling down will always appear at the top.
Basically, this functionality will help the users in the scenario where they are browsing through app listings and suddenly they remember that one game they have been searching for, then they are easily and quickly able to get access to the search bar without even any extra touches. Meanwhile, the entire top action bar remains in place as notifications and settings are just a tap away, except the search box, so the users will be able to manage their subscriptions or tweak their preferences.
However for now a sticky search bar is in the developing stage and not available to the public. But it is expected that the company will as soon as possible make this functionality available to all.
